I've seen discussions here about fitting the shunt for the BMV700. Now, it's currently not correct as the negative of the starter and leisure are both connected to the engine body. Thus, alternator charging is not seen by the BMV.
So, I was going to disconnect the leisure battery negative from the engine body, but leave the starter battery connected. Then connect the load side of the shunt to the engine body.
If I did the same with the starter battery, then the BMV would be seeing that charging current (from the other alternator) which is nothing to do with the leisure battery state.
Is this all correct ?
