  10. Thinking about moving my Morso stove from a central location to one side of the forward door, whilst I am aware that I can replace the internal roof panel, is it possible to fill and make good the hole where the chimney was. NB located in Audlem....any recommendations to do the job.
  11. I went up the Audlem flight with a very active crew member took 3hrs 15mins, came back down two weeks later single handed only 15mins longer.
  12. Arrived at Overwater a couple of months after it opened popped in for fuel and decided to stay after experiencing the suburb customer service, have experienced other marinas some long term others short term. Overwater has the X Factor, must say the facilities are of the highest standard, immaculately clean, great cafe, friendly staff and management that listen to concerns raised. As for location agree the Audlem flight can be a instant challenge if turning right, but an easy challenge with locks that are easy to operate, turning left lots of options, with Llangollen, Montgomery, Chester, Anderton Lift, Trent & Mersey, Bridgewater all options. Since my time at Overwater owners Janet & Angus have invested year on year and as a moorer I am more than happy, Not forgetting some great events on the marina but also in the Audlem village.
  13. Considering removing a breakfast bar and replacing with a Dinette so we can have another couple of berths, would appreciate some advice on size and how to ensure it is comfy to watch TV enjoy a meal and also have a good nights sleep

  17. We were moored up at the Wharf, in front of the now closed pub Angie I had no intention of demonising this section of the canal, I just felt those using this section of the Leeds Liverpool should be aware of our incident. It is better to safe than sorry. Angie I had no intention of demonising this section of the canal, I just felt those using this section of the Leeds Liverpool should be aware of our incident. 18. Our moorings are just down the cut in Burnley...but won't be stopping for lunch at this place again
  19. My wife and I stopped at Enam Wharf, Blackburn on Saturday 24th October (3pm) for a quick on board lunch, within minutes of mooring up three of the six male youths aged 11 -15 started jumping on the roof of No Brass. At first I played the nice guy, but all I got back was abuse. I then pretended to take photo's with my mobile. Three ran off, the other three jumped back on the roof. As I tried to make a get away, They jumped off and grabbed the front and rear ropes. They did not have the strength to hold No Brass back and the (6 foot) ringleader almost ended up in the canal (if only). His (5 ft) mate then spit at me but missed. As we made our getaway, I phoned the police and give a full account of the incident, this is the first time in 30 years hiring and now owning our own boat that we have come across this type of behaviour. So far the police have not made contact, for the record a few weeks ago a man was set upon by a four teenagers, one of whom is charged with murder, less than a quarter of a mile away at Blackburn Locks But this was not the only incident of our trip, the following day travelling through Rosegrove (just before Gannow Tunnel) three youths took a pot shot at me with a Airgun.
