  1. Me and Ally had a thought last noight (yes it did hurt a little bit!) As there are going to be so many of us we need to identify ourselves somehow. We thought bring something like cork balls so we know you are all boaters? Any other ideas? Bonnie
  2. Just had a couple of pints of "Sweet Lips" in the Swan....hmmmmmmmmmmm Got a few local boaters coming to join now too. Beer, beer, beer, beer Bon
  3. Spoke to the Swan manager last night, we can't "book" a room as suck but can take over the back room (tho it's where the kids go) and the rest of the pub. Decided to not book any food as it depends on the water level etc to how many people will come. There are loads of eating places very close tho if the pub can't cater for us all from their normal menu tho. Beer, beer, beer, beer! Wooooooo Bon
  4. http://www.tatra-glass.co.uk/ are a company local to me that i do quite a bit of work for, they will find anything unusual for you but they charge very well for it. http://www.creativeglass.co.uk/ may also be able to help, they seem to do a lot of shop fitting stuff which will be the kind of thing you need. We have glass splashbacks in our galley, we had only 4mm tho. It's a glass with a spray coated coloured backing called planilaque. We went for the black and i must say it looks lovelly. Doing similar for our fire surround too, hopefully with the lighting effect your after. Hope any of this helps Bon

  8. Still trying to talk Ally into Fluff. The last boat you'd expect to see with a name like Fluff is a big tuggy porty pt pt pt boat! hehe Bon
  9. Well he got me to ask a lady i work with to talk to the landlord!!!! He said upstairs is booked but he'll sort a back room for us out (nicer than upstairs anyway, and closer to all the guest ales!). He'd like us to have food earlyish tho due to the paty upstairs, 6ish ok for everyone? How many veggies do we have coming? He'll do a veggy chilli. Also n Austrailian and Thia just down the road so loads of choices! Bon
  10. Been in for 2 days with only me and Marc, he's boring! Come chat with meh!!
  11. Now eye of Bon doesn't work in spells you know, im not a frog!!!!
  12. Pt Pt Pt Pt Who thinks it should be called "Fluff the Magic Dragon"??? Pt Pt Pt Bon
  13. I feel i need to warn you if you are bringing a dog......i have a dog eating cat! She feels that the moorings between b&q and the bridge are hers as we go there quite often. She's scared off at least 5 dogs in the last year. I will hold you responsible if your dog breaks my catflap being dragged through it! Bon
  14. The swan has many many more nicer beers, plus thought arranging a meet where we didn't actually have to move was a bit selfish. Plus we go in there most nights now, want a change of scenery! We haven't had any problems yet and spent quite a few weekends there. As Marc said tho we don't and won't moor in the new basin! Most times we go tho there are usually 3 or 4 boats and we have a big party/bbq on the grass. I think seeing us all out may put people off tampering! Bon
  15. That name always makes me giggle! So Albion Friday night for anyone that can get their boat in by then and Swan Sat night for a bit of hairy dog. We all going to want to eat? Will arrange something with them before hand so they don't have a panik with the numbers. (I'll even try to get farting carrots.) Bon
  16. Just a short walk from the cut. We could pop into the Albion and see Happy Keith too. Bon

  18. Heart all the way! Pt pt pt pt. Just remember none of us fatties will ever be able to shower in the first tug! Fluff the Magic Dragon sounds like the best one to me, give us all something to do of an evening to keep us from getting bored anyhoo. Plus the eyes will fit! Suppose you're going to want some poi lessons in the near future then? I say lets make a battle plan! We need a meeting......ohnoes, beer in the village tonight??? (wonder if i can get marc to carry the poker chips down too? ) Bon
  19. Beer, beer, beer, beer.....hmmmm think i'll have to come too. I just couldn't bring myself to drink in the weatherspoons in Loughborough tho.....the Swan in the Rushes is right over the road and would be calling me constantly! Will get my man organising. (Marc Harris is my man btw) tho i know our diary better than he. bon
  20. Thanks for all the advice, my blokey has pretty much told you everything to answer all the questions but i'd just like to say that i didn't jump up and down on it....i may shake it a bit too vigorously when emptying it tho, some of those poo's do get a bit attached to us i think Bon
  21. Well our only working cassette decided to break last night, so does anyone know a cheap and reliable source for them? Thanks in advance. Bon
