  1. i like the idea of using a recycled plastic , certainly wont rot. ill see what available locally
  2. well, the plan is to keep it dry. i dont like a dirty bilge, ive had the boat, just under a year and decided the bilge need a clean and coat of paint, may aswell replace the delaminating boards
  3. Now that's not a bad idea. I only have a very large mig welder, much to big to drag to the towpath. And as truck mechanic I refuse to pay anyone to do work, that's I can do myself. haha But it's not a bad idea.
  4. indeed, itll just be stuck to the swim area and have fuel pipe clipped to the top.
  5. i deal with buffalo board quite regularly, and have several off cuts. wouldn't expect it to last more than a few years though
  6. what type of wood to use in the bilge area? fuel pipes are currently secured to a bit of ply which is delaminating and rotting.. its a semi trad stern without a a pram hood, so does get a little damp in the heavy rain id like to replace it all. cheers
  7. not quite long term but 6 months trouble free of daily running so far. cant fault it
  8. Evolution rage mitre chop saw with a tct with cut that in seconds with a perfectly clean cut
  9. Haha, not quite. They know the crt number, name and have a photo of it.. Its even down on the live tracking marker is a little boat
  10. I've got a sky tag tracker in mine from an old land rover I had, they have a manned control room, so if your vehicle gets stolen they track it and liaise direct with the local police Force
  11. Just fitted one of these myself, for my newly installed immersion
