Hi, Does anybody know of a share boat scheme that has larger boats. We have had shares in narrowboats and cruisers for about 15 years but are now getting a bit too old to work the locks. We would be interested in a share in a 10 berth boat so we could take children and grandchildren with us. cheers

Le Boat hire boats on the Venetian Lagoons. Try emailing them they should be able to help you re mooring spots. I don't know if you can take a hire boat, for safety reasons, down the Grand Canal which with one other shorter canal are the only two wide enough for a cruiser. I was there for 5 days a couple of years ago and I only saw hire cruisers going round the perimeter of the Venice Islands. Overnight moorings are very expensive (I saw one at 100 euros). Roy

Hi, Does anybody know if there is a winding hole near bridge 19 (Chirk) and if there is what length can turn. BW boaters guides shows one but doesn't show a length. My 1997 Nicholsons doesn't show one. best regards Roy
