  1. Its also early days so it may be possible to influence future direction. The iOS version is already open source and as of 19 Sept 22 i believe the Android version is also OPEN SOURCE. That has to be good news Editbto add Its the browser that is open source.
  2. It is a bit confusing at the momment but Alias has explained it. The developers of NEEVA are the ex SVP of Ads at Google and Ex head of monetization, so a decent track record They seem to of got a bit disenchanted with the direction Google were taking, much like me, and decided to create their own search engine and browser. I remember there was a short period of time when you could search online a get some decent results but nowadays the vast majority of the returns seem to be adverts or paid for returns. Total clutter obscuring valid returns.
  3. Which is essentially what NEEVA is, designed and engineered by the ex head of Google Ads, brief details currently on BBC Red Button Tech section. He got tired of being asked to do the amount of tracking currently experienced in chrome using Google. You can try the search engine from neeva.com homepage without using the browser. I also understand that it's possible to make NEEVA a preferred search engine, have not tried that yet but instructions also neeva site https://help.neeva.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500010567221 So far I like it but still using Chrome Got that and Adblock
  4. It does look a bit like spam doesn't it but it is from me. Very early days with it and much to discover. The thing I particularly like about it is the clean results you get from a query, nice plain relevant listings not cluttered up with adverts and paid for results. Also like the speed. There are two versions premier and standard, as it stands I can find no reason to use the paid for premier version. So far happy with the speed and clarity of the results. Main concerns at the momment are, although no data is shared i cannot find how much data is past back to NEEVA and what is done with the data passed back, certainly need to know if I am to continue with it. My main concern with other browsers is the way the results have become so cluttered with advertising and, i imagine, paid for results. NEEVAS main benefit is that it seems to return relevant links rather than sponsored returns. I suspect i will keep the free version as a secondary browser I strongly suspect that I wont be going for the montly paid version. As ive said early days yet. Details here https://neeva.com/ Unfortunately does not appear compatible with Amazon Fire or the Amazon Silk browser
  5. Not immediately apparent but it has a 2 tier membership, Premium and Standard.
  6. Heard about this new UK ad free and private browser thought I would give it a try, first impressions minimalist, very fast and joy unbounded returns results uncluttered and ad free. First day of testing as just released in UK Sept 2022, lots to find out yet Overall I think it is well worth having a look it's a joy to get search results returned without any advertisements at all. NEEVA Ad free browser from Google playstore This is completely unsponsored. I just like it. Be interested in others opinions Hit first problem cannot find out how to open additional tabs not even sure its possible. Problem resolved tab button at bottom of screen, needed a NEEVA account to get the required info.
  7. I have the correct metal pipe so will be changing it. I think the rubber pipe connector sections seem favourite at the momment, proper quality rubber, short run only should do the trick.
  8. I personally could make that argument but I dont know if it has ever held up. Has anyone actually been through this with all in one enclosed Chinese Planar heaters and if so what was the result? To be perfectly honest I have looked online and have found only a very small number of deaths attributed to these heaters, might be similar situation to when instant LPG water heaters were banned only to be I believe reinstated when it was realised that they hadnt actualy caused any real problems.
  9. Interesting BSS examination point Requirement "Can fuel hoses and their connections be seen and reached?," Question Does that include pipes that are internally. Connected? might have to leave it with the cover off for the inspection if yes. I'm primarily interested with safety so not trying to bypass anything just interpret the requirement.
  10. Thanks that sounds reasonable. Il have to check the wording of the standards to see if the rubber pipes are acceptable. I am hoping that with luck my left over webasto fuel pipe may fit. Might be one of those jobs that takes 5 minutes or might be a 3 week job that requires sourcing a 3/17th left-handed upside down PT grommet.
  11. Ok many thanks Tony its probably the answer I was expecting but hoping could be avoided.
  12. Within, every thing else is done. Just trying to find out in advance before i disconnect and open up. Heater in slightly awkward spot so only want to open up once if possible, forward planning.
  13. Ok replacing plastic fuel pipe with metal pipe, no manufacturer's part available, people have apparently done it, just want to know if i need a pipe flare kit before i dismantle heater. To meet standards pipework needs to be metal. I love the heater, I will be keeping it, just need to make it comply like i have with the other components.
  14. Trawled through a number of threads on this but cannot find a specific answer to the question; Planar enclosed heater internal fuel pipe replacement, Does the replacement fuel pipe need to he flared? Will i need need any new bolts (bolts?)? If so what size. I'm happy that everything else is done to standard but feel free to reiterate any other info as may be worth repeating for others.
  15. Not me The only time I found it useful was when I was fitting my navigation lights.
  16. A simply Aide-memoire is All the long words go together RIGHT, GREEN, STARBOARD All the short words go together LEFT,RED,PORT
  17. Im single handed I can't operate the horn and the steering at the same time. Simples
  18. I dont think it is a negative comment it is an observation from an outsider to the area. There is a problem in the south east which may be difficult to see from the inside. The more the problem grows the more the potential for negative views to held by 'outsiders' to the area. If passing boaters are treated as 'outsiders' then its possible that potential support from fellow boaters may be lost. If your battling with CRT then why alienate everyone not from the south east as well. Correct.
  19. Removed as don't like posting negative comments on fellow boaters. Will however make the observation that there is real problem with mooring hogging in the south east which makes it difficult for casual visitors.
  20. Does that really apply retrospectively to a pre 2017 boat, self fitted out without further RCD paperwork, and complying with the legal requirements at the time? Yes i was going to ask the same question. As far as i am concerned my 2005 was fitted out and given a RCD on the understanding it would not be sold within 5 years. The 5 year period has long since gone (2010) so i dont see how the 2017 can apply to it.
  21. Reading back I note that stroudwater1 made the same point as me about using a PM. I'll dip out now as on the OP's substantive issue I no knowledge and don't want clutter his post with this side issue.
  22. Sorry i was editing as you were replying. My futher edit addresses this. The only person who could answer the question is the OP. There is zero reason why a potential association should of been implied on an open forum when the answer could be resolved via a private exchange.
  23. I do think that in this case you have uncharacteristically made a bad call. Posting the photo publicly creates an association between the photographed boat and the declared act. There is no reason why the photograph could not of been sent privately to the OP. The OP is the only one who can answer the question not members of this forum. Edit to add Before anyone asks, no i don't think i could do a better job
  24. I agree. With no evidence picking random boats is totally out of order.
