  1. Dont get me started you know what I'm like everything from the steel to the sump is british on this boat as much as I love Britain and the Brits they over charge to the hilts, and make out that having a trade is a licence to print money, we are giving a chance for real craftsmen to use their skills show off their skills and make a living doing it, Political I know, and I dont really do politics, unfortunatley this is the world we now live in, British craftsmen do not want to pay to train their fellow youngsters for an apprentiship, unless Government give em the money. ...... End Of "well I dont want it to turn nasty" I may need your help next week
  2. The winners of the IWA Lionel Munk Trophy award for best boat builder 2008 AMBER BOATS of course I always new they were winners our boat is wonderful and if money were no object we would still choose them
  3. do you wear a uniform

  4. Yeah but no but your o.k Alan I've always said that, but them others right, they wouldn't help me with that what to do on a rainy day game they were playing with out me (sniff ), I had a picture for number 15 sniff and not no one told me how to put it on, anyway me and Richie found a much better game to play so I will stay with this sight cos I might have to ask a favour of someone next week, so apologies to all the miserable gits, we had much more fun anyway !!
  5. Hello we have the most wonderful wooden shutters on our lovely Amber boat which actually won best boat builder ( the Lionel Munk Prize) for best boatbuilder award at the IWA on bank holiday monday ,I would put up a picture but none of the miserable gits on this site would tell me how to do it, and I have asked loads of times, I find it all a bit cliquey actually, so unless I get some decent replies I,m not coming on here anymore, anyone got any tips for more friendly sites ?

  10. we being a newish boaters( now been at it for 2 months) would have thought that it was quite within reason to moor at a water point at that time of night 11.00ish or maybe after dark, however when we were in Great Heywood the other night, we were moored at the moorings before the lock at great heywood and took a stroll with our rubbish and the dogs to the bins and to check out where the water point was, there was someone moored at the point, we thought nothing of it, but they were still there at 9.00am the next day, so when we went for water, we had to wait for someone to move, then when we were on the waterpoint, they still carried on having breakfast, I asked the lady if she was moving soon because another boat was waiting and she said ooh I cant my husbands gone shopping !!! whatever next I think this is definatley taking a liberty but you dont like to say so when your new

  13. Well O.K then I wont get emotionally involved, but should I report it to the Fashion Police as it was wearing a mink coat ?
  14. I would just like to add that last Thursday we were coming to the last but one lock before the Dog and Doublet pub on the Birmingham Fazeley canal, heading for Tamworth, I was opening the lock and this Mink just strolled across it without so much as a by your leave, he was carrying his lunch, one of our little woodland creatures I couldn't identify the poor little mite as I was so shocked at the sheer cheek of this mink, It didn't appear the least bit scared of me,although it was very beautiful to look at I know the damage they cause, and wondered if I should report it to anyone ?
  15. I just like waking you up Allan, I here yours ears pricking up when I add a line , keeps you on your toes its so that we know you old lads are still with us
