  2. Any polyester filler would be ok for minor imperfections such as Isopon p38. Be warned though if the gel coat has suffered 'star' cracking it won't be a permanent repair. The damage will need grinding out and repaired with new GRP mat and resin. Just to add above or below the waterline? Most fillers are hydroscopic. ('Filler' topics merged)

  8. And remember most narrow boat engines are marine versions of industrial units which are also installed in heavy plant equipment. If you can do a basic service on a car engine, modern narrow boat engines are not much different to be honest.

  17. Try and go for a recognised make - Bristan, Pegler Triton etc Don't buy 'cheap' un named sanitary fittings they are exactly that - cheap and nasty. Look for expensive reputable makes but massively reduced by and you can't go wrong.

  24. Cheers MJG I'm going to order an 'agility' model should fit her harness perfectly. The problem I found is the normal type just got caught up on stuff and got ripped off .
