Cheers. I do worry ttoo much!
UPDATE:
Just checked my bank account & BW have taken the money, so I guess that means its sorted
It seems my local office is both Wigan & Leeds!!
Sorry, always forget this bit on forums.
Hi everyone.
Didn't plan to get a boat it just sort of happened. Now I'm panicking about it (See me thread..."End Of Garden Moorings").
I saw that & I'm guessing that's what he did, but I cant get hold of him to check. So the licence should be in my name?I guess I'll get all the answers from BW, but I'm really worried about it. I hope so, thing is I now only have 10 days to get my prompt payment for the moorings, so I'm really hoping the licence has been transferred to my name
I'm on the Rochdale Canal, so does anyone know if my local BW mooring officer would be at Wigan or Leeds.
I phoned up BW in Watford today & they're sending out an application form, but I've looked at the application form on-line & it asks if I've previously had a BW licence. I haven't, as the present one (due to expire in June) was the previous owners. Does anyone know if this will hinder my chances? BW obviously know I'm the new owner as they sent me a letter with the new mooring prices, but I'm worried that I might have to put the licence in my name also.
Its all so confusing/daunting.
Hi, new to the forum & new to boating. Very confused.
I bought a narrow boat last year & after some initial set backs I am now trying to sort out my licence renewals as they are due soon. I bought the boat on the understanding that it included moorings. I know that I have to pay for private moorings (which is sorted) & also moorings "End Of Garden" moorings to BW (The licence with the "M" on it in my boat window).
The End of Garden is due to run out at the end of this month, but I have now been told that the person that sold me the boat did not transfer this into my name as this is not possible! I have also been told that if I attempt to renew this that BW will more than likely refuse & ask me to move away, even though I pay for the private moorings.
All I want to do is renew my licences so I can remain moored where I am.
