I currently have a chrome tiller handle on my narowboat. I was wondering, is it possible to have a folding tiller handle in chrome or is this not possible because of the chrome plating? If it is, where can they be bought. The chandlers I have visited don't seem to stock them.

In the last few days I have been making my way up the Grand Union canal from Brentford. According to the Nicholson guide I have been using, on the page referencing Hemel Hempstead. The navigational notes - No 3, states BW request that no wide beam craft moor on line between here and Braunston Anyone know why?

Does anyone know the best price for diesel on the Thames at the moment, south of Abingdon?

Currently at the Trout at Tadpole bridge, will not be coming back your way. Carrying on down the Thames for the rest of the month. Nearest stop could be the Trout Inn at Wolvercote again if there are moorings tommorrow night.

Your boat appeared all locked up Friday night and Saturday morning. So I carried on cruising.

I worked on Sheffield in Barrow, I can remember there was an explosion on her during a night shift resulting in a section of the back end being replaced. Then at the commissioning party at a local hotel the custom I beleive was for the officers to stack their hats one on top of the other berfore dinner. These then fell over. So all in all she was probably laden with bad luck from the start.

Would there be any further advice for sealing a cast bath, IE. filling with say, hot water to allow for expansion. Or are these tips just for GRP baths?
