Here is how I came to the figure 2024 1200 + 10 % std + 5% cc £1386 2025 £1386 + 10% std + 10% cc £1667 2026 £1667 + 10% std + 15% cc £2121 2027 £2121 + 10% std + 20% cc £2799 2028 £2799 + 10% std + 25% cc £3849 Year 5 £3849 Not sure if that's how the pricing goes but that's how I understood it. If my maths is correct 😜

So in theory assuming last year the licence was £1200 given a std 10% increase on the licence 5% above inflation plus the annual percentage increases for continuous cruisers am I right in thinking that by year 5 the licence fee will be £3850

Apologies if this has been posted but in this link it shows the current fees for the next 5 years for home moorings and without home moorings. Are these the official figures and if so for narrowboats who CC does it imply that year on year it will go up 5% or by the percentage stated so year 1 5% year 2 10% so a total of 15% overall. So it looks like CCs and widebeams are taking a hit (shock horror) People who own a widebeam and cruise looks like they will take a double whammy so to speak.

In fairness to the gentleman I spoke to he seemed clued up. He asked for my reasons location Inc bridge number as well as the obvious name plate number etc

I've just contacted them and they have put the request through for me. He did say if there's a problem then it will be Monday when I am contacted by the crt mooring guys. If I don't hear anything then all is good

To be clear the only reason I would like to move to the 2nd location is due to hospital appointments not because I want to try to abuse the mooring system

Quick question what is the rule around this scenario I have moored for 48hrs in a designated 48hr mooring and 800 yards around the corner there is another stretch of 48hr moorings Am I able to use both if there's space to do so.

Ok thanks for the info Tony I am happy to have the issue resolved and it's been a good learning curve for me.

That's pretty much what is happening now,once the tap or shower is running and the accumulator tank has emptied the pump then kicks in. However it isn't filling the accumulator tank quick enough thus the pump keeps running until the tap or shower is turned off. Then it continues to fill the tank and stops. I wondered if I needed to increase the pump output on the pressure switch Prior to fitting the new pump the old pump cycled on and off between showers and the tap running

Not fully open though does this make a difference In that case I am happy as well 😁

On the new pump whilst running the shower the pump is cycling all the time rather than filling the expansion tank Am I correct in thinking Iay have to increase the pump pressure so it fills quicker

I have had first hand experience of giant hogweed around 3 years ago although at the time I had never heard of the stuff. We lived in a rural area overlooked by farmland. I had been strumming the road side and at the back of the property. The next day I broke out in blisters over my arms and neck with a couple on my face. I contacted the doctors but had sussed it out before he got back to me. I was very fortunate in the sense that I had sunglasses on because it's the sap from the plant that does the damage and can in fact cause blindness. It removes the UV protection from your skin and can last for up to 5 years. The following year whilst I was in the sun the blisters re appeared So please be very careful near this plant

Fitted the new water pump this morning and this has now rectified the issue. Many thanks to all those who helped me it's greatly appreciated 👍

Now I have the old one that still works is it worthwhile buying a service kit and replacing the valves or is it to much of a hassle Vs reward

The tank is literally next to the water pump and the main water tank. At the other end of the boat I have a calorifier tank and another accumulator tank

Ive had the water tank stop valve switched off for 30 mins and upon putting the valve on there was a short burst from the pump

So am I right in thinking the accumulator tank is pushing water back through the water pump and into the water tank. 5l only been fitted in the last 6 months or so
