Black Prince spray paint. I saw their new boats complete with overspray on the gunnels a couple of years ago at the bottom of Tardebigge.
The paint shed at Anderton were spraying last time I was interested in a new coat of paint.
The policy of reducing waterside moorings when a new marina is built was abandoned a few years ago.
The empty moorings might be due to the substantial increases that have been introduced lately.
I had a look on Monday. It looks close to being finished. There's a lot of landscaping going on. No obvious sign that the water level is rising yet. The reservoir floor is covered in Silver Birch saplings.
I also had a look at Bosley reservoir. Their was a small amount of water coming in and a similar amount being pumped out to the summit pound. It's still six meters down on normal levels.
I hope you have a better journey from now on. Hopefully it will cause someone to have a look at our pound too. I can't believe all the water is going down to Alrewas.
We've got fifty boats at the club at Huddlesford Junction and they are all on the bottom. The level has dropped steadily for at least a week. but it's difficult to see where the water is going to come from to recover the situation unless Minworth is opened up.
I interpreted it as stuck on the Coventry just south of Fradley. The canal is down around a foot
I interpreted it as stuck on the Coventry just before Fradley. And the pound is only 18 miles long!
I think that you will find that Camra campaigned for the beer orders not realizing how it would turn out.
We just wanted to stop the big six breweries controlling the market and ended up with the likes of Punch taverns and Enterprise inns as a result. Disaster!
And the big boys still control the market
There's another one missed Ng from the Erewash. It was burnt out when we went past. Near cottmanhey.
The Albion in Loughborough was a student pub as well as canal side. Decent beer when I visited 20 years ago
Which Hungry Horse pub is that? There are so many good pubs in Burton there is no reason to go to a Hungry Horse. Treat yourself to a taxi if you are not the fittest. You won't regret it.
Thanks Mike,
I think that may be the only sensible way forward. Whether we have the appetite to accept the risk ourselves or lay it off with the insurer remains to be seen.
Yes but cruising condition is subjective. That is the problem. You might think it is in cruising condition but if it doesn't come out of the water regularly who is to say other than the insurance company when you try to make a claim
