Thank you Balloon for bringing this up, you definitely have nothing to apologise about. Unfortunately there are some on the forum who seem to get their kicks by point scoring, insulting others and insisting on having the last word. Women have a hard time here. The political section has now become unreadable and would certainly put off new members.

The lack of water and maintenance are probably more of a problem than the costs of fuel.

We never used tap water for boat cleaning. Canal water is fine try it.

The retailers have to buy the cards. so no risk to crt. Many years ago they didn't make a profit on the cards so no incentive to stock them. I don't know if this is still the case.

There is a lot to do before buying a boat. I hope you have experience of living on a boat. Spend the time when you are saving to research boat maintenance and moorings. If you are already experienced I apologize and wish you good luck -

When I was on the management committee false claims were taken very seriously. If they aren't reported you only have yourself to blame.

At least it was a cassette not a pump out tank that exploded. I remember being told at Blisworth boats the effluent reached the top of the adjacent tree, What goes up must come down!
