  1. You could always join the National association of boat owners, NABO. They have a rep for disabled people/ information Sue
  2. I hope the person who raised the question doesn't take your advice. He is on a wide beam! Sue
  3. I don't agree with this either. Our first boat was second hand. We could sell it for what we paid for it if we didn't like boating. The only thing we altered was changing a large double bed in the front cabin to a bed settee. It gave us the chance to see if we really liked living with the chosen layout. The only downside was it was the second boat we looked at and so I was deprived of the opportunity of spending weekends boat hunting. Sue
  4. It's good to hear the other side to canal boating. A boat builder said to us the other day 'I really admire you'. 'Why?' I replied. He lasted 6 weeks on a boat, we have done 20yrs. Boating isn't for everyone and we have retired and can move when we want. It is a nightmare if you want to stay in one area. Sue
  5. If you go to the BW site and type in complaints procedure it tells you how to make a complaint. Sue
  6. Wouldn't it be easier just to burn the rubbish. I'm thinking of doing this as it is so unsightly having all the bins. Sue

  10. We use Biomagic in our dump through and have no smells. I can't say the same about other additives we have used. Anyone remember potty toddy tabs? We use a 12v pumped system for emptying the tank. It has saved us a fortune and we get the tank clean. Sue

  12. In which case why get a winter mooring? You can just move every fortnight and not pay at all. Sue

    Best loo!

I thought that until our loo refused to open!! We still have a dump through and I wouldn't want anything else. Hubby kept going on about wanting a porta potti until we had one and then he couldn't wait to get the toilet repaired. Who wants to empty a loo everyother day? Sue

I have a couple of flat irons. One heating whilst using the other. Having said that I haven't ironed for years. I don't buy anything that needs ironing and careful folding works wonders. Sue
