Please remember just moving around the canals is hard work. Locks need effort to work as does mooring up especially if the wind is blowing the wrong way. Good luck.

Today a friend told me that Nabo news was the best booklet for news. Boaters are good at wanting everything for free.

We had one for many years. More trouble than it was worth and I was pleased to see the back of it.

Hubby and I were involved with waterway recovery group for many years whilst ccing. Some events we took the boat to - the festivals. Hubby was in charge of security and I cooked for volunteers. Hubby was wrg transport manager.
I also spent several years volunteering for NABO. It's definitely possible.

Without wanting to take anything away from a valid point, the same could be said about the supply of clothing and other wearable items, particularly at the cheaper end of the market.
You are deluded if you think there is the same amount of criminality with the supply of clothing.

I don't believe BW realised that insisting on a mooring would create problems. Unfortunately moorings were in very short supply when they tried to bring in the legislation. They hadn't understood that people wouldn't have used the moorings if they had one so making the problem worse. A friend was refused a licence for not having a mooring. He went to see the BW manager in his boating gear, a harris tweed jacket, with his usual tie and check shirt. Explaining, with his officers accent, That when he went abroad on holiday, doing wildlife cruises etc. he put his boat into a marina and payed his dues to them. He got his licence. Thank you George for making continuous cruising legal.

I certainly agree with legalising drugs but what concerns me more is the way the drugs are provided in this country. People don't seem to be bothered about the children being used to move drugs, the people used as drug mules and all the corruption that goes with it. As long as people can get their drugs they couldn't care less about any unfortunates caught up in the supply chain.

The local criminals need supporting, we can't have them going out of business. It seems no one is bothered about supporting criminals

Wasn't it Sir Adrian
ScottStott who suggest a premium licence to go to the head of the queue at locks etc.An interesting man. It was his eloquent arguments that stopped BW then CRT charging extra for widebeams. I never noticed odd eyes.

Low fat mince is horrid. It is dry and stringy.

As they paid £14000 for it in the first place they have lost a fair amount of money on this.

Pollution needs reporting to EA. You don't need a phone to do this.

Contact your insurer and tell them the lowest quote you have. Our Insurers always accepted the lower quote for the same insurance cover.

An Omaze house at St Margarets Kent also looked as though it was both uninsurable and unmortgageable.

facebook park action group will give an idea of problems.

It failed to make any tv news here but it did have to compete with the weather and the balloon festival.

You can never tell. Hubby had a stroke 10 years ago at 75, which ended our boating. I'm now 80 and so far fit. We did have 25 years boating .

Just providing as an example of a narrow boat used as a fire boat.
Strange! My father spent the war on fire boats on the Thames, including the Massy Shaw, and never mentioned narrow boats being used.

Some Motorway services are now providing washing machines.

Boater apathy is the biggest enemy of the waterways. For years boaters have believed that spouting on the internet is sufficient. I wish the collective group all the best.

You don't get those problems with a gas fridge!

Wrg BITM ran the carparking on several occasions. I remember one year it ran like clockwork. The BITM chairman was a traffic cop!

Its too late for that now. But seriously. You think if I had called CRT they would have taken responsibility and come out to sort it? Noticed no one else suggested that?

I've given up using our doctor as it's almost impossible to make an appointment to the surgery . Phone at 8:30 only, hang on for 30 mins or more and then told that no appointments left try tomorrow!
