  4. That's a bit drastic, there are a lot of other things to try first Simplest (and cheapest) will be an air leak in the fuel line. Have you tried bleeding the system? Richard

  11. I know! You can't drop the accumulators for your wireless set around to the bike shop to get them recharged any more either Richard MORE: Plenty of paraffin in B&Q for your greenhouse heater
  12. I'd go for four on the grounds that you rarely use the fully calculated amount (well, not if you do the sums properly) and that last few percent take so long to stuff into the battery Richard
  13. That may be more accurate, but less funny Four or five batteries, Nick? Richard
  14. I thought it was some vulgar fraction like four fifths of five eighths of f all Richard
  15. I'm not sure of your point about floating - both floating and float seem appropriate to this subject So, let us say that you have done your sums on consumption, and the answer is four and a half batteries. Would you install four or five? My inclination is four based on highly unscientific principles Richard I'm leaving puns about oxen and mental faculties for others
  16. I can feel the word 'integer' floating around somewhere in this. Richard
  17. If it were me, I'd change the packing with the boat in the water like thousands are every year Richard
  18. The shaft is grease lubricated, it's not going to be run for hours. There isn't a problem Richard
  19. Well, perhaps. If that answer is correct of course Richard
  20. The proper method is to leave the carpet unglued until you eventually trip over it. Then you can glue it down Richard
  21. Has anyone checked, I thought the last upgrade meant you can now do three letter searches here Richard

  23. It's what we do I wouldn't be too critical of CRT, I don't know of many large organisations that would provide the kind of chatty, fun-filled postings that we do here. I'm happy if they get on with the mending the canal bit Some day, you might find yourself in the position of man-on-the-spot and provide info to the forum. It isn't the fist time we have had a thread like this Richard
