  1. Very, very unpredictable, impossible to plan for We have had more trouble in the countryside than in cities I'd forget about this as a planning factor Richard
  2. I'm thinking your options are either the North Stratford, the Grand Union or the Brimingham and Fazeley (top, middle and Bottom roads) The first two mean doing Hatton, the second two either Garrison or Aston then Farmers bridge. I'm assuming you aren't up for more esoteric routes like Birmingham and Fazeley, Perry Barr and Ryders Green? The easiest is probably the North Stratford. The Grand Union/Camp Hill/Ashtead/Farmers Bridge is less used. The B&F, Aston/Garrison, Farmers Bridge is pretty standard Warwickshire ring So - what do you fancy? My Esoteric route is quite a surprise... Richard
  3. More importantly with aeroplanes, Death
  4. Bugatti type 35, sold for €387,500 in 2018. I'm not sure many people who drove her in 1925 are still around Richard

    Lister Green

I do like that catchpot Richard
  6. Is there a link anywhere to Norbury's Facebook page? Richard
  7. Is there anywhere with details about Ibex? I don't want to watch 7.22 of video to find out the price Richard

    Lister Green

Cast from iron ones, so they don't quite fit?

    Lister Green

I thought you were going to ask that... I'll go and read a tin for you. You might get Hudson Lister Mid Brunswick Green though Incidentally, the JP in the workshop just now is dark blue, it used to be grey Richard

    Lister Green

Their Paragon paint covers very well, it's what we use Lister green - the green on JP engines is darker than is found on later engines, LPW engines are Moss green And Mid Brunswick Green is like the Pirate Code, more by the way of guidelines than an actual colour. Try buying tins from different manufacturers I prefer grey myself, or Peacock Blue for S types Richard
  11. You get your kicks your own way...
  12. I don't usually get time to learn much about the boat I'm dealing with
  13. It tends to be more noticeable in reverse, probably because you compensate for it in forwards by adjusting the tiller instinctively. Put the boat in reverse, and the stern moves sideways It can be quite handy at locks - as long as the towpath is on the correct side... Richard
  14. He has too! Thank you John
  15. Are you sure the rudder is still in the cup on the skeg? If it has come out and dropped down the side, it will be very difficult to move Richard
  16. Yes, and it clashes. Should be fun! Imagine the BCN Challenge having a problem because of other boats - I don't think that has ever happened before Richard
  17. Who would want to model narrowboats... Richard
  18. As you have observed, the "1 Direction only" bit is superfluous, unless otherwise stated any section only scores once - this section is the same It had crept in because that section used to score in both directions, in amending it we forgot it was no longer necessary Richard
  19. We need a better proof reader You seem good at this, have you got a bit of spare time John? Richard
  20. I do understand your frustration. Can I say, as Sue does the planning sheets on her own, with me as spellchecker, it's possible this is an oversight We will have a look at this later today Richard
  21. Well.... Not with a rigid tank, our rubber bag didn't need the front cutting off to fit Richard
  22. So are ours, over thirty years old now Richard
  23. Pretty much the exception these days Richard
  24. You are firmly in my category 1! And probably in the final category too
