Oh, shame! Just think of the wonderful photos that would have made! My hubby MADE me walk on the ice. He held a gun to my head and everything... Er... ok, no he didn't. He didn't need to - I was straight out there, playing!

A couple of years ago I attempted to step off the boat whilst mooring in near artic conditions and slipped. I really should have let go of the mooring line and put my arms out to break my fall... but no, that would have been too sensible. Instead I landed head first on a frozen wooden pontoon and broke my face. I did get a nice ride in an ambulance though.

Have you tried training him with treats? I'm currently working on a new scheme: Project Train Hubby. In a Pavlov-esque way, he only does what he is told for beer.

I have 2 cats on our boat. The newest addition has just reached 6 months old and has fallen in the water 11 times since she was 9 weeks old. If you get a kitten I would suggest nets and ropes and pulleys... or fill the cut with custard so he/she won't have any "falling in" issues. My kitten is a bit silly.

I really hope my local council miss this new opportunity to snoop. If Google try that near me, I may have to borrow Bones' mac and flash them. I can't imagine them wanting an image of that!
