I'd recommend Bimble Solar, they often have good deals on second hand panels - which are much cheaper than you expect. Two of these panels would give you 240W, plus an 20Amp MPPT charger like this (http://www.bimblesolar.com/offgrid/mppt/Tracer2215BN) http://www.bimblesolar.com/solar/individual/kyocera120w and apart from cable, would have a solar charging solution for £200.

I'm looking to fit a Webasto diesel heater, but struggling to find information about what size/output to make the radiators in side the boat. The heater outputs about 5kw on full and 2.5kw on half power, understand that these units are best operated without them cycling on/off like a gas boiler does/can do. What's best with regard to fitting correct BTU/Wattage radiators? (PS: Aware that TRV's are a no-no!)

I normally only starts happening at about 2 years old, so out of warranty! al, you've mentioned a few times you are struggling to get it to work. What have you tried and what is not working ?

Condensation in the engine compartment.

Perhaps just put a bilge mat in to soak it up as it occurs (or disposable nappy!?) -

Hi Sea Dog, Glad to meet (even virtually!) another marina user, so far the impressions are very good - shame its cost me £500 a year more than the DCT though !! -

Any gold or silver is mine.... Although I could do without the stoppage as I've got to move from Dudley to Droitwich. Could go via the severn river, but don't fancy that this time of year.

You think that not chasing a licence fee for 4 years is bad ?
stuart replied to Alan de Enfield's topic in General Boating
Its probably incorrectly billed as well, should the historic VAT rates be changed for the old periods rather than 20% -
Hi denmike, Nice work, sorry for not getting back to you sooner, got lots of other projects on the go at the moment!! Didn't take you long to reverse engineer the screen, I wish mine had been working as I wouldn't have needed to work in the dark then! Looking at your code its surprising how close they are to each other, I'll post mine on Github later when I get chance!

Hi nicknorman, yes I did enquire about moorings when the plans were released, June at the trust confirmed that there were draft plans, and would still be space.... yeah right! Yes there are (were!) 4 DCT moorings on the side opposite the museum. Never mind, off to droitwich spa marina now, shame its £500 a year more than I was paying at DCT ! -
I've already written the program code to make this work, but you would need to know how to "burn" this program code onto the chip - the Arduino system - its relatively straightforward, start here... http://arduino.cc/en/Guide/HomePage

I have legal cover on my home insurance policy, and that isn't just limited to home claims (would also cover claims for car, or financial disputes etc.) - is the boat insurance similar? You may already have legal insurance on another policy.
