Hi I have tried 3/8 bsp but it doesn't screw into the block and the nut on the probe is a little slack in the bsp fitting.

Sorry if I have posted the same thing twice. I am not that good with phones and am new to the site. I unfortunately have just been informed that I have to self isolate so will not be able to do anything for 10 days. I will get everything checked on thread size when I can. I believe the tread in the block is 5/8 unf and the thread on the probe appears to be the same size.

Hi I am fitting a mechanical oil and temperature gauge to bmc 1.5 diesel and have found that the temperature probe is much longer and fouls the block. Does anyone know where I can get a 5/8unf male to female fitting to move the probe further out. Thanks Stuart
