Hi, If I was to finance part of a future purchase of a canal fulltime houseboat with an unsecured personal loan, are there any providers that allow this? If so what are their max loan limits? £15000, £25000, £50000, is there an APR? I've already examined other options such as a loan secured against the boat, and saving up the full amount, so wanted to see any data to compare viability, please. Thanks, James

Hi, I'm thinking about purchasing a canal boat as a houseboat for the north of England. Currently I'm trying to decide if I should go for a narrowboat, and have more area I can cover, or a widebeam and have (relatively!) more living space. Could I please ask if I wanted to move a widebeam down south after a few years, would it cost a lot? Would there be a maximum length I'd have to watch out for when buying?
