OK, so a follow up, I had the injectors and pumps serviced. The shop said the injectors were frozen shut, which is probably why it wouldn't run. I got it back together this evening, and....

Bit of an update. The #1 pump rack moves but not well. #2 is free. Have removed #1 pump and injector, will pull the other set too and drop them off at a diesel shop.

Thanks - I can't slide the rack in either direction no matter what I do with the controls. It does jiggle by 1 mm or so so isn't completely stuck. Looks like it is all the way to the right, is that full fuel? Disconnect the governor via the pin circled? @Tony Brooks I do have the lift pump installed, and a fuel tank. One of the photos is from a week ago.

I did try a sniff of ether and got some apparent action. I wasn't keen to push that too hard though. It is fairly hard to crank over without the decompression though.

Hi Folks I acquired this Lister SR2 a while back as a project (my late father was a marine engineer which might have something to do with it). It was previously in a boat, but was swapped out and put into storage about a decade ago. I've changed the oil and worked out how to connect everything up (it came with an original manual luckily) but it won't start up. My current suspicion is the speed control / fuel rack as it doesn't seem to move when the start/stop control is rotated, or when the speed control is pulled out. I have taken out one injector and there is no fuel coming up from the pump when cranked. The fuel lines have been bled as far as the screws on the top of the pump. Any hints on where to go from here?
