  1. Thanks for that Nightwatch. I think our boat was built in 1996 and had been owned by the vendor for the last 11 years and is in very good condition. He was very methodical about maintaining the boat.....we got full records of everything that's been done to the boat over that period. He also , kindly , left onboard all tools and spares, tins of paint, etc, required to maintain her. We did have a hull survey carried out which stated that the maximum pitting was only .4mm. I think were very fortunate in our purchase and are shortly to go on our third mini-cruise since things reopened........really enjoying the canals! Steve.
  2. Thanks again. Out of interest does your boat have 'Bromsgrove boat builders' printed on the dashboard? Thanks.
  3. Hi, I have just seen a post from you from you to ' Nightwatch', back in 2009 regarding an inquiry about Bromsgrove Boat Builders. I purchased a narrow boat called 'Summertime' back in November 2020. I would really like to find out more about the original build or see any photo's of the boat from that period. If you still have these would it please be possible to send me them? Kind regards, Steve.
  4. Hi Rob, yes that's the thread.....I hadn't noticed that it was from 2009! Anyhow , it would appear that 'Nightwatch' may have been built `by the same builder as 'Summertime'. I will contact the other person mentioned re-photo's or information available relating to my boat, Thanks again.
  5. I am new to boating and recently acquired a 45' narrowboat built by the above named company in 1996. I understand from reading other posts that this company is no longer trading but I would like to find out more about the original build if possible. I read some other posts about this company earlier but now can't find them! One contributor stated that he had worked on boats made by that company and that he may have some photo's/ information about them. I would be interested in getting in touch with him ......if anyone can help I would be very grateful. The boat is called 'Summertime'. Thanks.
