  1. So the revs hunt up and down when its running - is it a slow or quick hunting? Does it make any difference if you're in or out of gear?
  2. Its very quiet and has been really since Covid. Still managed by CRT. Silted up pretty badly but power and water available on each one. Pity after they spent so much money refurbishing them and the prices don't seem excessive https://www.watersidemooring.com/636-ladybird-pontoon-l1
  3. But if you can't you can always get a take out whilst you're working through......
  4. Did I miss someone posting the Willeymoor Lock Tavern?
  5. Its not our data so no we've not done anything odd to any of it. Maybe the person who does the book has managed to get more up to date data than we have. If they've pulled it from our data set then I'm sure people will find out sooner or later. Canalplan itself contains places that we invented and gave names to - and we do know of other sites that now have those same places in them,
  6. Well I've had data from them since they became CRT. Oddly enough they don't publish it as a data set (the EA publish theirs) so you have to go and ask them for it and they don't seem to have any way of dumping data from their system. I'm going to try to find out who to contact as the person I was dealing with isn't there any more (or isn't replying to my emails)
  7. When I get round to it - we're rebuilding the whole of the login/session/user account system at the moment and have a pile of bugs that need to be worked on. Don't forget that we do this for "fun"
  8. No - we get the data from CRT. and its usually a complete mess (like repeated licence information, or just crap data) which we need to clean and then merge into the existing data set - so a boat name with the same index will get bits of data replaced, a new boat name on an existing index will get added as a new boat - if the names are obviously different (can't go on not being identical because of the quality of the data so we have to apply Soundexing and Metaphones to names and then cross check) But yes people leach the data - I've had to put code into stop people basically hitting the site with consecutive CRT licence numbers.
  9. There are boats later than 2013 in there - there just isn't anything for the past couple of years because of work pressures. Now I have a new job which doesn't involve being on call 24/7 alternate weeks I'm hoping to get a new set of data from CRT and get it loaded.
  10. That doesn't look good - I'd get a new spill rail as they're not that expensive.
  11. So the engine actually slows down? If you increase the speed does it drop again a bit later?
  12. Its odd that it goes away as things warm up but comes back so soon after a restart - even if for a smaller length of time. Compression or a sticky valve? Does it make any odd noises? Does the exhaust note change when the 4th cylinder kicks in ?
  13. How many bets it doesn't have a BSS, Licence or insurance.... and I really hope it wasn't allowed through harecastle.
  14. I would hope that whoever fitted it would know that.
  15. Yes its an LPG compatible hose. Cooker was shipped pre configured for LPG with an LPG installation set. You can get a complete installation kit here https://www.bes.co.uk/gas-cooker-installation-kit-no-3-16174/
  16. The way we have it set up is that the gas feed on the bulkhead terminates in a standard wall mount gas bayonet fitting and we have a regular domestic gas connector hose from the connector on the cooker to the connector on the bulkhead. So to remove the stove we just do exactly what you'd do at home - move the cooker forward and twist and disconnect from the wall.
  17. Could it be an injector pump problem? If there's not a lot of white smoke then is it that the "dead" cylinder isn't getting fuel at all?
  18. They do seem to be a mixed set of injectors
  19. It's possible that the shaft doesn't need cutting - unless moving it out by that distance causes problems.
  20. CRT plans for rejuvenation leaves canal line mostly intact but not restored as there isn't funding from the building of 200 apartments to do it. https://www.upperwharfstreet.co.uk/?fbclid=IwAR1KTU-ktBVRDWj7qBN6OJaLv35onKHFpZc_1nNiJPEnfuUKm6ml94CQ0FI
  21. I'm talking about apps for Android - the operating system even has a developer option (which anyone can use) that allows an app on the phone to tell the phone where it's located rather than use the GPS signal. They were very popular with people playing Pokemon Go to basically "cheat" in the game.
  22. When I was playing around with tracking for Canalplan I found that quite often if the phone had problems with getting a solid location from GPS (which happens more often than you'd expect) then it fell back to the cell towers and you could find yourself bouncing all over the place - so you have to start doing clever filtering of location data to exclude any sudden wild changes . I have an old Galaxy S8+ which has done 3km this morning just sitting on the coffee table in my living room. Or just spoof your location - plenty of tools available to do that - some you can even feed a route to. So maybe people could start selling tracks of their routes to people who want to avoid CRT enforcement.
