  1. You could well be right https://canalplan.org.uk/place/r74p
  2. Or leaving your side fenders down.
  3. Its the bit before the fender gets to the top gate that can be a problem - some of those top buffer plates are pretty rough
  4. The wooden coping is unusual - and I'm sure I've worked a lock with it. Also the tail gate hand rails look like they're made of scaffolding.
  5. Hard to say without knowing what your cooling system looks like. Is that header for the engine circuit or for the central heating circuit?
  6. Sitting at the back on those locks works quite well for a lot of boats. But yes - if you are going to sit at the tail you put the tiller over hard away from the steering position
  7. Make sure he leaves detailed instructions on how to do it
  8. Speculation? Yes. Off topic. maybe or maybe not.
  9. G&S bridges are only open on certain days at this time of year and in some places the same person runs more than one bridge. River Severn is closed at the moment and you can't get to the lock without going through Llanthony Road Bridge. So just about impossible to get off the G&S and keep a low profile
  10. No there isn't now because I deleted it.
  11. I know this is an old thread but does anyone have details for Baltimore as some idiot has put the Canalplan location as their website on Google Maps and now we're getting messages from the council about the smoke emissions
  12. We've picked it up in the past at the shell garage in Market Drayton. Premix is available from Toolstation or Screwfix. Premix and concentrate available from Euro Car Parts (who do delivery).
  13. We use Prestone (which is a sort of fluorescent yellow/green) in our 1.5. Premixed covers down to -37C and you can "Add to any existing coolant/antifreeze - safely mixes with any colour or specification of coolant/antifreeze" It also claims "Corrosion protection for 300,000 miles/10 years guarantee"
  14. We had one in the bathroom and actually now have one in the galley on the boat. Seem to work quite well and are a fraction of the cost of a fan from a chandlery. Ours aren't in mushroom vents but in the flatter style vents.
  15. On our BMC 1.5 that is where the temp sensor is ( and not in the side of the thermostat housing). Our calorifier is in line with the skin tank.
  16. I don't tend to access here during the working day (unless I've hopped onto my own laptop at lunch time to reply to emails and decide to pop in) so I wasn't aware of any problems. Nick fixed it - but it looks like there are still some minor issues.
  17. Two weeks on and the total number of tickets sold is 14,836 So 3200 sold in 14 days
  18. on their main website. Tickets are a tenner each with a sliding discount if you buy more. 35,000 tickets in total 23,308 available with 11,692 "sold" If the competition is cancelled for any reason, you will receive a full refund. No mention of what happens if they don't sell all the tickets.
  19. Have you considered publishing these as POI files so other people can use them?
  20. I'd say drilling the holes and and grinding some of the casting off isn't normal. I still suspect it was the wrong pump
