Hi all can anyone recommend a decent wash and polish for my narrowboat and I am wondering if regular car rv and caravan kits are just as good or do they have to have the word marine in front!! Stay safe everyone.

many thanks for getting back i only have a small area of rust in the bilge so a couple of coats of maybe fertan with a brush should be ready for a primer then cheers.

Morning all ,I hope everyone is keeping safe ,can anyone shed any light on vactan fertan and aquasteel,are they all similar as i want to paint my engine bay when we can get to the boat again and was thinking of using one of these first then something like danboline or has anyone used teamac as its readily available any thought and suggestions are welcome , many thanks stay safe cheers.

Evening everyone, I am wanting to touch up my engine bay /bilge area there is a small amount of rust on the engine side but not sure what to use after rubbing it down Fertan or Vactan before using Teamac grey bilge and locker paint would appreciate any tips if you have used either and what results seem best , Stay safe and happy boating , Regards , Clive.

Hi Al can anyone recommend a good degreaser my engine bay & bilge are tidy indeed but there are just a few hard to get bits of grease that I am thinking would be easily removed with a decent degreaser any help greatly appreciated happy boating & stay safe Regards Clive.
