Bit of a novice question, what’s the earliest I can use the locks in the morning ? Got make up some time with a early start due to a tree being down and delays.

Well we’re enroute now, Atherstone locks soon, just coming through Nuneaton. Ive has a couple of times when going round a fair gentle bend the boat has headed straight on an had no turn at all (I don’t think I’m going to fast) ! Any thoughts ? Just cleared the weed hatch and checked the tiller and cleared a bit of debris out

Having a look at going up to Burton-On-Trent, seems a nice distance and not to many locks. Anyone got any thoughts or comments on this ?

Hi, we’re off for 7 nights and was wondering if anyone can advise on options for WiFi or buy an unlimited data Sim ? The boat does not have it. It will not be used during the cruising time, just for use in the evening between 4 people. All Help gratefully received

Hi All, Away for 7 nights from Friday, departing Clifton Cruises Rugby( still undecided on the route to take ??♂️, but not Warwickshire Ring (another time with a bigger crew)) Any current information on how busy the Canals around the routes from Rugby are ? How long waiting times for locks ? Any other info from My upcoming trip gratefully received. Thanks

Yes swapping boats on the Monday, a double booking !! But not many other options out there for decent boats Was thinking of doing to Ashby Friday-Monday to get in the swing of it (1st timers !) and then I was thinking some more challenges on the Monday-Friday section Any ideas where I can download full size canal maps to print of fairly large (4xA4) ? Thanks

Update !! Bit of a cock-up with our booking !! Now got to do 2 trips from Rugby. One Friday-Monday and the other Monday-Friday. Any suggestions for our now 2 trips ?? Thanks

Hi All, Booked a boat called Little Pea from Clifton Cruisers in Rugby for a week in August. Can you suggest some routes to take from Rugby ? Open to all suggestions for routes: Rings, out and back, long days, leisurely cruising. Hopefully your advice will help my planning. Thanks Mark

Hi, I’m planning a 2 week family Canal holiday in August for 6 people. Changing 2 people (Parents) after 7 days for 2 other people (more Parents) can anyone suggest 2 different circular routes from the same hire base or a week out week back route with rail connection back to near base after 7 days ? Difficult I know ??
