  1. OMG, yet another boat based on a large Northwich - not. These boats look as if they were built by people who had heard about these mythical craft but had not actually see one.

I have a 200 year old book about animals of the know world and it is obvious that the person illustrating the book has not seen some of the subjects in the flesh as it were.

I feel sorry for the people who really believe that they have paid out for an accurate replica of an historic hull shape.

The only thing that I can see that it has in common with a large Northwich is that it is built in steel and floats; are there any other points that I might have missed?

Have you considered an alternative? We bought one that just sticks to the inside of a window and it's surprisingly good. All over the country it gets good reception, except when we turn on the indoor led light tubes.

Only have 1 small porthole so not really a goer. Thanks

  3. I'll looking for a magnetic aerial for a Ruark r1 radio with a F type fitting. I want to put the aerial on the roof, cable through the mushroom vent and plug in the back of the radio. What are your thoughts on where to buy and what to buy?

    Cheers.

  4. Ruark R1 MKIII is a great sounding radio both DAB and FM + the battery pack to make it truly portable. Has F type aerial.

Runs on mains as well. We use one on our boat - charge the battery pack when boating and run off the battery pack when moored.
