I'm also in the market for a shopping trolly that can handle a few inches of mud as well as being shopping centre friendly. I don't think a sack barrow will quite cut the mustard with my wife though.
And you could add the move to ban fishing in parts for France because "fish are not toys to be played with by anglers"; a sentiment with which I completely concur.
I tried this antenna on the 3 network and with my Huawei B535-232 router in our caravan and found that it did not improve the signal strength or speed over the paddle aerials that came with the router, so sent it back.
I appreciate that it works for many, but it didn't for me. I ended up using a "puck" type of aerial made by the same company to get a usable signal into our aluminium box. So I'm reluctant to buy another for our boat.
I too am looking for information on the best external aerial for 4g reception.
I'm using the 3 network and enjoying a very strong signal via our Huawei B535 router at home but I need some recommendations for fitting to our boat for use in areas where the signal is weaker.
Any suggestions?
As one who has yet to sort out solar panels I'm following this thread with interest. My master plan is to CC during the warmer half of the year and cower in a marina during the cold bits.
Mentioning cold reminds me that LiFePO4 cells don't like the cold so are generally installed within the boat rather than in the engine bay. Perhaps users of them could confirm/deny this point.
Every other day when the two of us were touring in our caravan. Things get a bit messy if you allow it to overfill; don't ask how I know, I'd rather forget!
Interesting! I have a Huawei B535 fitted with plastic paddle aerials which has given up to 98mbps down loading, but generally about half that. I have no idea where the local mast is.
Good luck with the change of router, I look forward to reading about your experience with it.
Out of interest what external aerial to you intend using with it?
I remember that, what they didn't tell us was that the heat & electricity was a waste product because the government of the day only wanted the bomb making stuff.
Lockdown is the problem at the moment. It's difficult to see a boat before buying and even more difficult to visit it when you have brought it. Once lockdown eases it will be easier to view but I think demand will exceed supply for the next few years.
