I've been on several fora where they are rationed. Generally the reason being that you get cliques of members who up vote just about everything others of the group post. This can discourage quieter posters who might spend a bit of time and effort on a review or trip report only to find some inane one line contribution has had more reaction.

£30 fines, people must be so afraid. There were people going to the gym etc during self quarantine at first in Norway. Many people shot off to their cabins in the country making problems for the rural health services. Fines of 20,000 krone, that's 1500 of your English pounds, were introduced and given out. This made people think about it. 15 days in jail as an alternative to the fine.

This was travelodge and they had already offered to allow the booking to be moved to later in the year. I was trying to think of a date and the email came through saying that the hotel was closed.

Yes. Yesterday Kris Cruisers cancelled my Easter booking thank God. I'd received no communication from them about the virus situation until then. I'd been living in hope that the river conditions would allow me to get my money back but the red boards are disappearing fast... Until Friday I could have cancelled the booking and received about £165 back better than nothing but I think I'd have stuck my neck out and hoped for them cancelling in the last two weeks. I don't blame Kris Cruisers waiting until they were basically forced to cancel by the government and they could have hung on to see if any customers jumped first. Hotel cancelled my non refundable booking too yesterday making that refundable. The money is back in my account from my flights so I'm almost back to square one. A little sad that Easter will be spent alone on a small island off the west coast of Norway but worse things happen at sea.

Kris Cruisers and Waterways holidays who I booked my hire boat for Easter are not putting much help out for customers. Waterways holidays do have a note on the website and apart from a little general information it basically says that non of the bookings are their problem and go look at the terms and conditions of individual hire companies. Kris Cruisers have zero information on their website and have not sent any information out at all. Fingers crossed that no more red boards disappear from the Thames and that will be a route to getting my money back.

Had to call O2 today due to a scam text asking for me to update my payment details. There was an automated message apologising for problems customers were suffering today and saying that they are working hard to get service back to normal.

Red boards begin to disappear from both ends of the non tidal Thames.
