  1. Sorry for the delay in replying, life has been a bit hectic! Yes probably our boat as we have been to Cropredy several times by boat.
  2. Maureens funeral will be on 30th March at 11 o'clock at St Michaels Church, Middlewich. If it can be arranged the coffin will arrive at Middlewich wharf by boat and then be taken to the church.
  3. Sadly Maureen, who used to live at Wardle Lock Cottage on the Middlewich Branch, died last night, Saturday 17th March 2012, she passed away peacefully at Leighton Hospital near Crewe. Many boaters will have encountered Maureen as they passed through Wardle Lock, she had something of a reputation of speaking her mind if you made a mistake :-) but this was just her way and she helped and advised many an inexperienced boater and always had time for those who were prepared to listen. Maureen was part of the Jinks boating family, she worked on the boats for many years firstly with her family and later with Jack her husband on their own boats. We had a passing acquaintance with Maureen for a long time but since coming to live in Middlewich we got to know her well. She was a kind and generous person with a fund of stories about her life on the boats and will be sadly missed by many. I will post details of the funeral arrangements when I know them John Watson nb Tam Lin
  4. Thank You Brian, been a member for a while but not really had a lot to say ;-)
  5. Welcome to Middlewich, we are just up the canal from you between Bridges 31 & 30, you will see our boat Tam Lin moored at the bottom of our garden please feel free to say hello when you are next in the area, if we can help in any way please ask. We know the previous occupant of the cottage Maureen quite well and have spent some happy times at or passing Wardle Lock. Regards John & Gill watson nb Tam Lin
