  1. Thank you I will have a look. I am particularly interested in how I connect the Vetus hose fittings that are fixed to the top of the tank to the first rigid pipe. Not sure what connector to use. I remember seeing somewhere people still using a some of the flexible hose to do this?
  2. Hi I want to replace all of the Vetus No Smell pipes on my black tank (because of course they stink). It seems like rigid solvent waste pipes are the way to go. As I am a complete beginner I was wondering if anyone had any photos of rigid pipe installations on their tanks so I can see how it is done and see also how the pipes should connect to the tank. Any info is welcome. Many thanks
  3. Thanks David the first one looks more like it!
  4. I feels to large for sand to me. It’s has very sharp edges and feels like filings of metal?
  5. I agree I hate the finish. Very difficult to clean and maintain. Would never have it again!
  6. Can anyone tell me what kind of anti slip material is on my boat. It is a collingwood. It definitely is not sand as it is very course like bits of metal. I need to deal with some rust spots which will have the result of giving a smooth surface and I would like to know what to sprinkle on top before the paint so I can match the surrounding anti slip areas. Otherwise it will look very patchy with different surfaces. Sand will look to fine. This stuff is all over the roof and decks. Many thanks for any ideas.
  7. Has anyone used artificial grass to cover decks and engine cover? I like the idea but worried about it holding water or making the steel rust underneath. Thanks
  8. Ahh it is making sense now. I bought the boat a year ago and it was sandblasted and blackened as part of the sale. The water might have got in then as it’s been smelling all year with foul smells through the toilet. It also had a long drop. I have managed to suck the water out and a big lump of charcoal that was also blocking it with my wet and dry hoover and now leaving it all to air and dry out while I wait for a new charcoal filter to arrive!
  9. Hi I have a vetus sanitation system with a no smell filter. I know nothing about plumbing so please excuse my ignorance. When looking at replacing the no smell filter I have noticed that the pipe leading from the filter to the outside of the boat is filled with water. Should I empty this pipe, as I am assuming the water is stopping the air from coming in? Many thanks for any help in advance!
