We are hoping to do the 4 counties ring starting at Nantwich and going clockwise. Friends are joining us for the last few days possibly south of Great Haywood on the Staffs and Worcs does anyone know possible parking places near the canal either free or reasonably priced for them Regards Hugh

Thanks for the replies we have hired for the last 15 years and now we are both retired and we would like to try a longer time i.e. 2 weeks together. The ones we have been looking at are either self managed or through a management company which is costlier although with us in Scotland might suit us. The cost of the share would seem to reflect the age of the boat would that be fair comment? Regards Hugh

Thanks to everyone who has replied after looking at various options we will probably be on the trent and mersey and the macclesfield. The north west and pennines from Nicholson would appear to cover that area. Information we need locks,water points, eating places,winding holes,shops within walking distance etc. Any other suggestions please. Regards
