I used to work for Spurr Manufacturing Group in Great Bridge Tipton during the mid 70s and Spurr Marine was part of that group. Brian Duvall was the boatbuilder/designer there. He had a couple of young guys working for him, but he was solely responsible for that division. He also completely refitted the reception area in the offices. I remember some of the boats going out on their transporters had the "platypus" looking hull which he told me was Josher style, and they had wooden bottoms. Very interesting to pick up this thread as I was googling Spurr Marine to find out what had become of them!
