  1. Yeah tell me! I’ve found loads of issues, I’ve had to rip most of the interior out, I’ve removed over 200 litres of water out the bulge, leaking water pump, leaking shower, leaking kitchen tap , leaking waste pipe. Upon lifting the rotten floor up all the timber frame was rotten so had to replace all of that. Still loads ads of water appearing inside so removed wall panels to find every single window leaking plus all the framework was rotten or soaking wet so had to replace all that too! This boat has been a nightmare and I’m knee deep with it atm and it’s costing a lot of money! Oh and when I was in the bedroom the other day glaring out the window the whole ceiling decided to collapse on my head! Literally the whole thing just let go on top of me! I wasnt ammused!
  2. I spoke to the previous owner today who seemed surprised it had a webasto heater onboard! Hopefully the chap tomorrow can have a look and advise as what the best option is, my trail of thinking and gut tells me rip it all out, reuse the rads, reinstall the webasto from scratch with all new wiring and add a control panel and associated loom and see where that takes me, can’t be any worse than what it is now!
  3. I’ve got somebody coming out tomorrow to have a look, i had a thought ... the boat was moored up as a liveaboard maybe the webasto was disconnected and the central heating pump installed so they could have central heating using the heater in the calorifier?
  4. Should that central heating pump be there? All of the plumbing is quick fit plastic pipes except the pipe from the pump to the rad which is copper
  5. I’ve had a couple of people have a look and nobody can figure it out, I’ve just removed all the panels to reveal all the plumbing to find this .... A 240v central heating pump.
  6. Ok I’ve put a direct feed positive and negative to the unit and it’s totally dead the fuse in the ac switch is also good
  7. The little toggle switch doesn’t do anything, seems weird that there’s 2 earth wires switched? The yellow low and black wires go into this switch
  8. That’s the unit, it says webasto thermo top c . 12v 40w. 5kw diesel 2.5 bar 9004622a the yellow wire out of the bottom of the chock block and the black out of the top go to the light switch I mentioned previously
  9. I have removed most of the interior as I am refitting it out and there is definitely no timer or control panel in there. I cant find any loose wires either that would suggest it would of had one fitted in the first place. il upload some pictures shortly when I get back to the boat I have also tried to contact the old owner several times now without joy I have also tried to contact the old owner several times now without joy
  10. Ok great, il get a picture on here tomorrow , Iwe will be livingon the boat in a few weeks so getting pretty desperate now as we have 2 small boys so central heating is a must!
  11. If it helps the wiring from the unit goes into the 12 v fuse box, there is is a yellow and black wire that both go Into a normal domestic house light switch , if you flick the switch nothing happens. There are only 2 wires in that switch The fuse is fine, There is also 2 earth wires right above the unit, these 2 earth wires go into a 12v toggle switch, if you flick the switch nothing happens. i had the boat surveyed the other day and I asked the guy and he looked and couldn’t figure it out

  14. I have looked and looked online but can’t find a manual for love nor money the seller Said it was all working fine . i can’t find a control panel so assuming there is a switch or something to make it run i looked on webasto website but couldn’t find anything helpful there either
  15. Hi, i bought a narrow arrow boat a couple of weeks ago which has got a webasto diesel unit which is linked to the calorifier and 4 radiators, my my question is how on earth do I start it up? It looks like it’s all wired in but there’s no switches anywhere so was wondering if anybody here could help
