I've been looking at second hand ones, but there's often something wrong with the hull etc, so I thought I would investigate having one built. I'm interested in hybrid because I love the peace and quiet, and eco friendliness, of electric power.

Hello, can anyone recommend a good and reasonably priced boatbuilder near Reading or Oxford? I'm ideally looking for one who makes the hulls themselves, or uses good quality hulls. I'm looking for a sailaway between 30 and 40 feet. I'm interested in hybrid electric/diesel engines, if by any chance someone knows of a builder who uses them. many thanks for your help.

Many thanks. I'd heard that small boats could do it from Highbridge, so it's really small boats then! The Taunton and Bridgewater option sounds interesting. I think I might need a bit more experience before I encounter tidal water though

Hello, does anyone know if it is possible to navigate from Reading to Glastonbury? Or how far could I get? Can anyone recommend a good place to find maps of rivers and canals so I could work it out? Many thanks.
