No, the ignition key is separate from the kill switch. However, I've seen in other descriptions that it's supposed to be magnetic. So, I took your advice and tried to just pull it out, and that was the solution! I gave it a hard yank, and the key came off. Problem solved, many thanks! :)

Hi! I'm completely new to boats and bought my first one last autumn, but haven't had the opportunity to try it out until now. The problem I have is that I attached the ignition key into the remote panel, but now I have no clue as how to remove it. The key is like a plastic cylinder that fitted into the Suzuki NA12S remote. Putting it in and starting/stopping was not a problem, just removing it. It seems very difficult to find any information about this topic online, and I've not been able to find the guy I bought it from. So, now I'm putting my faith in that someone here knows the answer.
