  1. Thanks for the link. That is a lovely boat but too wide. Plus I need something that is sub £10,000 as I want to find out if I like this boat hobby. The Nauticus is the perfect size and look of boat for me.
  2. I do have a post code, but you are totally right, it is Burton waters and not Barton as I mentioned above.?
  3. I will be up at Barton waters tomorrow to view a diesel powered boat.
  4. Do you have petrol pumps at that marina?
  5. Hi Mike, The Perkins owner has already said that it is a wee bit loud in the cockpit area. From the pics that I have seen I would like the Perkins Nauticus with the petrol motor. Like you say, with a bit of planning I will have no problem with petrol.
  6. Thank you all for the suggestions. I called a guy yesterday who is selling a Nauticus with petrol inboard. Whilst on the phone he started it and I could barely hear it running. Of course I am not going to buy without viewing but what a difference in noise levels. I will be viewing another Diesel inboard on Sunday which is a Perkins but I have a feeling that it will be Petrol for me. Cheers, Paul
  7. Correct. The 22 had an outboard. I have read that there are a few 27s with outboard but I suppose they were added by the owners. I will be viewing another diesel inboard and petrol inboard next weekend if they are still available. Maybe they will be quieter than the one I have seen?? If not, it has to be an outboard. Would be great to hear from any other Nauticus owners that may have gone with an outboard on a 27. Cheers Paul
  8. Thanks, that is good to know. I have set my heart on a Nauticus 27 but I think I will have to have an outboard for peaceful cruising.
  9. Hi, What size and make of outboard do you use? Cheers, Paul
  10. His price was very reasonable too. I did the trip yesterday to view the boat and if you add the loading and unloading it is a good long days work. Unfortunately I am not getting that boat, so maybe the next one will be a lot nearer to home. If not I will get in touch with Tony again. Regards, Paul
  11. Many thanks. I will look into that when the time comes.
  12. Hi Alan, I should of mentioned. Tony was recommended and I have spoke to him. He would be able to do it in 6 weeks time. I am hoping it can be done before if at all possible. I suppose this is a very busy time of the year.
  13. Hi All, I need some recommendations for boat movers. The boat will be a Nauticus 27 GRP. Preston to London. Many Thanks, Paul.
  14. Hi Pete, I have been in email contact with you today. I spoke to Tony. I will contact you on email. All the best, Paul
  15. I made an enquiry on a Nauticus that was up for sale. Unfortunately it has already been sold. These things don't hang around too long. Anyway. Does anyone here own or have owned a Classic 27 Stourport? Would be good to hear your views. Many Thanks Paul
  16. Thanks sal Garfi, The Nauticus looks great. It will be for canal use, so that is good to know.
  17. Hi, I must say I like the look of the Norman. I am going to keep a look out for a Norman 23 or 24. Many thanks Paul
  18. Thank you jocave. That first picture looks amazing, very tidy looking boat. Looking very closely at this boat I have just realised that you lose the outdoor seating behind helmsman chair. I love the profile look of this style but I must have seating in the outdoor area. So I think it will have to be a rear cockpit style
  19. Those throttles look great. that would be the style I would like, but just the one. :-)) Thanks guys for the input.
  20. Thanks for the link. That interior looks great. Is it more comfortable to have the steering on the left? For me it feels that it would be as you are passing on the right.
  21. That looks very nice. The first link looks like that boat has gone. They don't hang around too long. Thanks for the advice. Regards Paul
  22. Thank you all for the replies. Much appreciated. I can now start the search. I like the look of that Viking in the second post but I would prefer an inboard diesel. Can they be very loud in an older boat?
