  1. Thank you - I will have a check in the morning and go from there I guess! Cheers once again
  2. Ah brilliant, no idea why I couldn't find that in Google although in my experience Google seems to struggle with the newer CRT site. Thanks very much anyway - it's really appreciated!!
  3. OK thanks for that. Is it just in the ordinary stoppages check on the CRT site? Cheers
  4. Thank you for this Might be interesting then, I have heard all sorts of stories about Derwent Mouth and looking at it this afternoon the currents were very peculiar. Thanks for the advice RE navigation at Sawley! I wasn't aware one could check this? Do I need to ring them or is it an online jobby?
  5. I hope this is the right place for this. Currently moored at Shardlow looking to head up the Erewash tomorrow so need to have a quick cruise down the Trent - I had a wander down to the river earlier and it was exactly on the line between yellow and red. Further wanderings down to Derwent mouth did not reveal anything too terrifying but I am just wondering if anyone can give me any info on the state of things further down. Wondering if I can get into Sawley OK as I remember there are flood gates. Any help would be appreciated :)
  6. Thanks very much - I will see what I can do with these Reg - thanks also to you for the links
  7. Thanks for the quick replies - I will post in that bit and see what I can find on FB Thanks
  8. Hello, I hope this is in the right place and is allowed, I am currently working on a project and part of this is recreating Dutton railway viaduct for a simulation product. Sadly I cannot seem to find any good photos of the brickwork. Would anyone in that area be able / willing to get me some good pics of the brickwork? They would need to be reasonably close and square on. I appreciate that getting the arch work at the top is probably less possible but I am not as bothered about that. If anyone can help I would be very grateful, Thanks
  9. We have not had any rain all day but all the rivers and streams look full. We have decided to go and explore the Ashby. I assume Foxton is packed as always on a nice bank holiday !
  10. Err, hopefully the water is supposed to go over there. I don't think the canals need another breach. Had enough trouble with the Middlewich one! When we went down I was thinking the flows were more like when we came back from Naburn in the autumn. We passed one boat heading downstream as we went back up. There were two CRT staff walking down to the lock as we came out of it. Chatting to them one of them said they had never seen it this high! They have not closed it yet but it's only an inch or so from the red.
  11. Oh crikey! I remember when the lock in Tewkesbury looked like that. I'ts a shame we cant do that route but never mind. Might give us a chance to explore the Ashby canal a little. Thanks for all the help and advice. Glad we are not trapped somewhere.
  12. haha OK. Right were about to go back onto river - I'll post some pics. EDIT - He is going to just get to Lichfield. It's a short walk from the station to the canal. Should be there for 10.30 ish so he will have a bit of a wait.
  13. Yup, plan now is to turn. Had to go through it as there isn't a winding hole. Should be back at Arlewas in half an hour. Just turned. Need to pick our man up at somewhere with a station as they're coming from Rugby on the train
  14. Yes, there is a risk of that. How likely do you think that is between now and this evening?
