  1. Hi Loddon Do you have a wiring diagram for how to fit the garage door opener in line as this looks like a simple option but I am not sure how to wire it Thanks Mike
  2. Thanks for the reply's I looked at the door controller and the text message options, I am not sure I how to go about wiring into the current Programmer to interrupt the programmer and tell it to come on before the timer does, IE if I were to override the the programmer by switching it on manually before the timer switches it on just three wires in there but how would I integrate another controller with the existing one ? if I want to maintain the current system, I am thinking it would be better to replace the current programmer with a wi fi one if I can find one WiFi reception is good and I live on the Trent full time Cheers Mike
  3. Hi there I am looking to control my webasto thermal top C heating on my boat to enable wi fi remote control from my phone, I currently have a heatmiser programmer installed Has anybody done this and have you got any recommendations, the heating is 12 volts, it needs to be controlled through my mobile Wi FI hub without adding another router and through a mobile app I have been looking at 240 wi fi programmers on E Bay that are little money but not sure about the suitability of these to make it work off 12 v I am thinking they have a relay inside them which will be for 240 and when connected up to 12 use the relay will not last long Anybody out there done this ?
  4. Hi thanks for the comments, I know steel doors will be harder to break into ( providing you have a good locking system) but I just feel that the design of steel doors on barges is very poor and a throwback to the days of carrying coal in the holds etc. why would a boat be advertised as a live aboard with wooden front doors and then a couple of steel plates on the back without any frame, weather proofing, locking mechanisms and fit where they touch ? That is my bug bear with boat builders, if you can fit front doors why can't you fit rear doors the same when designing a boat,as for security, yes they may be less of a invite to thieves, however you don't have steel doors on your house, most houses have wooden doors or UPV doors not steel Boat builders need to get into the 21st century and offer something more practical and appealing to prospective live aboarders Mike
  5. Hi thanks do you have an address or number I cant find them on the internet Thanks Mike
  6. HI I want to replace the steel doors on the rear of my wide beam for a wooden door frame and wood doors, there will be no header in the frame and I anticipate using the existing steel sliding hatch, has any body any experience of this or knows a company that will build the frame and doors for me, near Nottingham Thanks Mike
