Tulip Murders, the fifth book in the Johnson & Wilde series of canal crime mystery novels, has been published. Author, Andy Griffee, began the series 5 years ago after several members of the Canal World Forum came forward to volunteer to help with his research.
Andy, who lives in Worcestershire, says their input has been invaluable in making the books as accurate as possible. The books have also been boosted with bespoke maps of each novel's location supplied by Michael Pearson of the famous Pearson & Son Canal Companions.
The series is based on the travels of a live-aboard journalist called Jack Johnson who takes his boat, a 64 ft stern cruiser called Jumping Jack Flash, around the country. He is accompanied by a border terrier called Eddie and occasionally by his, so far, unrequited love-interest Nina Wilde.
His 'Canal-Noir' plots have variously been based on the Stratford, the Worcester & Birmingham, the River Avon, the Kennet & Avon, the River Thames, the Oxford, the Staffs & Worcs and, in his latest book, the canals of Amsterdam.
The books are all available as e-books, paperbacks and hardbacks from Amazon.
