Hi
I have recently taken ownership of a narrowboat with a jabsco water filter fitted. I am not sure how old the cartridge is or was.
This morning the cartridge broke sending a flood of water everywhere. Luckily I had a spare and fitted it. However I found that the little blue clips that hold the main pipework in came out fairly easily.
I have pushed them back in and turned water back on and the unit holds but I am now concerned to go out leaving the water on
Is it good practice to turn the water off when leaving the boat to go to work? Are these reliable units or would I be better to take the filter out altogether
Any thoughts apprecaited
Thanks
