It's good to hear all the alternative suggestions offered. Much appreciated. Just trying to build my coffers up before I do anything to guppyanna at the moment but an outboard with a guard on seems the most likely bet. Also good to see a pic of a similar design to my boat. Thanks?

The OB looks really vulnerable. I better start saving for an inboard. Thankyou so much for passing on this knowledge. Really appreciate it. ?

Would I be able to change the prop? My worry is about the handling of it.

Thanks I will. ?

I'm so glad you let me know. I've been trying to research it but without luck. CHEERS ?

Hi that's good to know. I'll check out what they used. Thankyou

I would recommend getting professionals in to spray foam. We tried to do it ourselves but it's difficult keeping the temperature right. We spray foamed to seal the steel to prevent condensation then added thin rock wool for warmth. It's worked a treat. Add plenty of vents for air circulation.

Could it be the stem?

Hi yes the bow is flat. I might need to think about welding a pointy bit on it. Thanks?

Nice chatting to you too. Goodnight

Thankyou for your advice. It's really useful. If I added 10ft to the stern and put a diesel engine in. Would this be better?

The river Ouse in York and The Trent
Someone mentioned a good prop which makes it better for handling and reversing but I've forgotten what it's called.

Ha ha I wish

Would a 10hp be adequate on a river?

I'm thinking about engine's now. What would people suggest?

The steel distorted in the middle on the roof so we cut out the worst bits and welded a new piece in. There are still signs of heat damage around one of the windows but it all adds character and the superstructure is solid as we put plenty of strong bulkheads in to hold it together.

Thankyou. I'll do that.

I got this boat as a burnt out shell. I was told some youths set fire to it in Halifax. It was owned by a policeman. Any information relating to its history would be welcome. Her original name was Anne B and was built by David Brownie and sons in 2005. It's taken 3 years to transform her. More pics in gallery. Thanks

Thanks everyone for your replies. I need to clean it ready for painting. It's sanded down so I'll chuck river water on it and dry it with a towel. I'll use white vinegar to clean the windows.

Thanks I will. I'm on the river now so I've seen the force and power it generates especially when it floods. ?
