Afternoon, had a email from Regal Rexnord informing me of their 2 agents in the area for me to contact .... Rang Aquafax ...informed as I wasn't Trade couldn't help.....😪 There next agent was midland Chandler's who had no parts in stock but would try and locate. (they did email me to tell me they could get them but £202 each and they would have to order from Europe) . Checked a few agricultural/plant engineers in the area but no luck (small excavators use this type of drive). Called into Calcutt marine gave them my details and they would look for me (they were very helpful). Went onto ebay located some at a business in Luton...drove down there from Yelvertoft..Successful...bought 2 for 73 each . Fitted this morning...all working..Back on the Cut ..

Hi If I remember some small springers were made with 3mm steel hulls , If your below that figure after carrying out your ultrasonic survey you would have to wey up the cost of overplating your boat [those holes in your pictures don't look healthy] .

Hi I know you said Funds are tight ,But either get a surveyor to carry out a Hull ultrasonic check or has previously been mentioned buy your own tester and carry out your own hull thickness checks . If your Hull is OK , wire brush all loose rust off and apply a rust treatment [I've used Fertan in the past and been happy with the results ],After treatment either paint in red oxide or use another treatment such as waxoyl .

Hi as a Boater and now a Volockie [in training] I thought I must reply...many Volockies are not boaters But are still keen to give their Free time up to assist boaters at various sites across the system . If a Boater Declines help that's Fine ,But many are Glad of Help , So please Don't belittle Volockies...They're Giving up their Time For YOU
