  1. Peter - both forums are doing just fine. Nobody is saying it wasn't bad at the time or that every body has to forgive and be BFFs again but nothing is gained by constantly going on about it. There are wind up merchants who will use what happened as a tool to cause mischief for no other reason than they like mischief, and then there's every body else (regardless of which forum they post on) just getting on with their own lives thinking that a stramash isn't worth the effort. There is no "them and us" anymore, we are not the jets and the sharks, we are all just a bunch of folk who have moved on and maybe post on one form or maybe post on two. It's winter and people are bored so nobody is going to convince me that any poking and goading is truly about what happened 4 years ago. It really isn't.
  2. Guys this is not letting go - letting go is just not posting - nobody needs to keep replying. Nobody has anything to say that hasn't been said before so please, just stop. Think of it as therapy - I could post but it's ok I can choose not to post and then it will all pass painlessly. Let me leave you with a little wisdom.....
  3. That might depend on how often she cames to visit, if she doesn't visit often and wasn't sure whether or not out side could actually see in then she might not feel particularly comfortable at all but if she was used to it and was aware of the privacy level then she might be fine with it. I have a frosted glass window in front of my shower and I went out into the garden to check the transparency so I don't mind mine but I wouldn't instantly trust a window I didn't know. Though it shouldn't really be such an issue if showering in day light as apposed to night time. Not all frosted glass is the same and what might seem fine in daylight can get pretty transparent to anybody out side when it's very dark out and you have a very bright LED light inside.
  4. Thank frak I took my ears off before you posted that.
  5. Mickey might be getting a bit long in the tooth for the hit job; eventually every good mouse has to hang up their.......
  6. Seriously - I have Disney and I'm not afraid to use it. ?
  7. Soda crystals will also kill it off, I don't know for sure but it might come back quicker than if you used the bio powder but it would be more environmentally friendly in the long run. Just an option.
  8. Don't shoo make me post any Disney crap at you.
  9. Has it also been quite a warm winter down in Englandshire? We've had some exceptionally warm days, reaching temps of about 14C several days in a row at one point.
  10. Thanks Dor, I got there in the end and unfortunately he's not any less disappointing when I spelt his name right. ?
  11. No but you also didn't need to take a poke either, it was childish and doesn't help anything - not to mention what other people think of us is none of our business.
  12. It might depend what they all wash their boats with. l've noticed when washing with different products (one in one place then run out and wash the rest with something else) that the green cames back quicker with one wash but not the other; that was with a plastic boat but the green was all the same stuff. The Co-oP used to do a floor wipe cloth that was brilliant, after I first noticed this I did a little experiment where I cleaned a very specific patch with a Co-oP floor wipe and then left it, the patch I cleaned with the wipe stayed not-green for much longer than the area that was cleaned at the same time but with something else - can't remember what the something else was now. I know, I know you can't clean your whole boat with floor wipes but I just thought it was interesting; they're very good for nooks and bits though.
  13. I'm sure they are doing just fine and don't need any help from us.
  14. I have to say I will miss Tim and Pru. Tim was a bit bumpy and a bit grumpy but he was still likeable and interesting, Pru was so lovely, she seemed to perfectly combine her wonderful etherial quality from being and artist and thespian with her down to earth just get on with it practicality. She was always quite spritely while having a little mumble about old age catching up with her. I can understand why experienced boaters found them difficult to watch sometimes but of all the narrowboat programmes I've seen off the tele their was for me definitely the best by a long shot. I do hope that even though they are giving up the series they won't be giving up their own boat. Oh at last his full name - I was beginning to think I'd have to click on a dreaded dailymail link. I've just had a search for our new host Giles Brandreth and I'm thoroughly disappointed. ?
  15. I am perfectly aware but 4 years is a long time and most people have moved on, CWDF is not the beginning and the end of the universe and as most (though obviously not all) mix quite smoothly between both forums or have happily made their home on one or other forum then it seems little counter productive to rake over old coal.
  16. I don't think Matty was implying he had a choice, I think most are aware. But Matty is a big boy and can answer for himself I think.
  17. Did you deliberately misread what Matty said just so you could start a fight or do you genuinely not understand what he did say. I don't care one way or the other, I'm just curious.
  18. As seven eighths of CWDF members are also members over there I'm not sure why you think anybody needs to be brave. Not to mention the whole stramash happened 4 years ago so I doubt anybody cares who's on which forum anymore. Hardly the great giggle that 4 emojis would suggest.
  19. Ooh got a bit excited there for a mo, I read the title and thought they might be handing on the baton to their son Samual West, I rather like him. Very sad about Pru though.
