It's not a bit sa, I have a 1500 and an 1800 just need to know what will move across and what automotive bits fit cos they seem to be a lot cheaper than marine items.

Thanks for that, mine is definitely a bloc built unit. Didn't know the Turkish ones were different. Should have read BLMC built bloody predictive text.

Hi everyone, particularly BMC engine gurus. Is anyone able to provide a definitive list of late 1.8 diesel parts that are common with the 18v type MGB petrol engine, for example oil pump, timing gears and chain etc. Many thanks John.
