  3. I don't get it.. can I use the whole 100gb as a hot-spot, or not?
  4. Are there many boats on the move up there now?
  5. How would it look any different if it were a vee hull? Just because it's not a Springer doesn't mean it can't be v bottom .. My friends boat has a vee bottom, it's only a couple of inches , but it is impossible to tell from just looking at it in the water, never mind on pictures...
  6. £26,000 maybe? A misplaced comma?
  7. Wow. You've checked every Springer still going?
  8. Hmm. Interesting... Lol just lifeboat owners? Maybe not
  9. There are other designs of oil rig lifeboat more suited to canals than this one. And he sells them for under 8k usually. I remember about 5 or 6 years ago, lifeboats were going for 2000-3000 pounds(sometimes less). I quite like them. Stay on the canal system for a while, then out to sea if you want.
  10. Crt should really get some new signs put up explaining how to do it properly. His failure and resulting injuries are on them...
  11. That 'new' equipment is now 9 years old....
  12. Lol ? OP must have been on email notify since 2009.
  13. Well I'm moored on this section (Gargrave to Wigan) that's shutting. My mooring provider told me after they received a call from CRT last week.
  14. To answer the original question. They are keeping all the pounds topped up, no boats will be sat on the bottom.
  15. Been on a week now. @Pastseeker have you actually been to see this boat?
  16. Is it this boat? https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/58ft-Narrowboat-Liveaboard-Houseboat-Canal-River-traditional-Narrow-Boat-Project/123242185659?_mwBanner=1&_rdt=1 Looks a decent boat from outside, but no pics of inside ?
  17. You could think about buying a new sail away shell and fitting that out to a high standard, then selling. Work for your self sort of thing.
  18. Depends if you can find a welder who is brave enough to weld them without removing the paneling and insulation. Then you will need to be docked or craned out, not a nice job to attempt while afloat. The last 'D section' I bought worked out at £1 a foot .
  19. +1 for the cheap eBay thingy. As said above just leave it connected to a 12 v battery until you get to the required value. Mines working great, only problem was it took 6 weeks to get here!
  20. Seen at the 5 rise a couple of years ago
  21. Nice update. I enjoyed reading it I look forward to your updates, especially about the electric motor.
  22. Rosegrove facilities are safe and free. Burnley has improved a lot over the last few years, don't believe all the horror stories.
