As is always said on here, boat theft is never as simple as it first appears.
I watch eBay listings for narrowboats. Before the covid, there were over 100 narrow boat listings and these would change regularly. Now there are 17 and most of these have been on for months.
I once had a boat that looked like that, it was from the 70s , the builders plate said something like 'canal and river craft, Sowerby Bridge ' to the best of my memory. But the boat looked just like that at the back. It had a fibre glass top and quite a high bow.
Or a 3rd of one..

Just today I had to climb on a neighbours boat because a fisherman across the canal had got his hook stuck in the back canopy... told him to move on before he did any more damage.
