Thanks for your information Guys It's only a Viking 26ft boat that I'm thinking of buying. I have been in-touch with the owner of the boat so going to view this week. We discussed about transporting and he has agreed if I buy the boat he'd transport it to Liverpool for £350 so I think that might be my best option being new to canal cruising. My plan is this... Buy a small boat for this year to make sure I'm compatible with the canals, then if I'm really into boating, next year buy a narrowboat round about 40ft. I have had a short break holiday on a canal boat and absolutely loved it, so want to make sure it's not just a fond memory kinda thing. Hi All I'm new to the forum and have enjoyed reading and learning all about the canal system and some good advise from the posts. There's a lovely boat I'm thinking of buying in Peterborough. I'm trying to workout how long it would take to get a boat back to the Leeds & Liverpool canal from Peterborough Via the canal system. Has anyone on this forum ever made such a journey or if someone has any idea how long this would take I would be grateful Thanks Steve
