  1. I used one when I was 16 back in 1963 putting up a mezzanine floor at Dads garage. Rented one myself to do the same thing in late 70s when I selected the wrong power cartridge. The nail penetrated into the Ladies toilet. No training back then.
  2. Symphony Paints in Birmingham mixed Mason's Midnight Blue for us from their records. The reference was 100383
  3. Besides the usual sticks and stones a half empty can of Coke on the B & F. It missed me and landed on the roof.
  4. You have put the edge connectors onto the PCB properly. From memory there is one connector that is easy to misplace. To check for problems with pump or docking station remove cassette, put finger tip over the hole in the vacuum tit (centre top) and press the micro switch in. The pump should run for a few seconds and stop. The other source of problems in the docking station are the non return valves that sit in the pump chamber. They can get bits of effluent stuck behind them. I assume that the bowl retains water.
  5. In our case it was a problem with the boat. The main board in our Multiplus had developed a fault.
  6. Last time we were there plugged in the shoreline and promptly blew the trip on the pillar. Reset and tried again and took out the bloody big fuse in the cabinet onshore. Took out half the pontoon.
  7. This one has been there for several years. Originally for the rubbish boat I think then used by the Bicycle Boat.

  9. You could look at underlay for Luxury Vinyl flooring. That used under our Karndean was self adhesive on the upper side.
  10. We had a dormant Nationwide account with around £100 in it. I received a statement which showed a deposit of £19 from someone called WPA that I'd never heard of. It took over 2 months to eventually refund the money. WPA are a health insurers. When we ran a business it was not unusual to get extra in a delivery or be paid twice. It was always a hassle trying to get another company to admit they'd made a mistake. Conversely we had deliveries where items were missing. Again, suppliers often doubted my word which really pissed me off.
  11. Looks like this company could make an adaptor for you. https://fabco.uk/product/swaging-expanding/
  12. Our toilet has started making a rattling sound for a few seconds on occasions after the finger is taken off the flush button. Difficult to diagnose as you can't press the button with the cassette removed. The 'wiring diagram' in the manual is next to useless but the parts diagram gives a bit more info. We have the control panel which houses the switch and 3 LEDs, a flush valve and a vacuum breaker. The rattling noise is probably the flush valve and it is relatively easy to replace, although expensive. Not sure where the vacuum breaker is but perhaps if faulty could be holding the valve open. Or maybe the control panel is faulty sending a partial voltage to the valve causing it to chatter. Anyone else had this problem or any thought or is it diagnosis by substitution. c263cs.pdf

  14. You will need to take it send it to the original seller, in this case Samsung. So email them and ask them where to take/send it.
  15. In answer to OP, no. Just opened first bag of a new delivery and as good as ever.
  16. Works perfectly. I thought they were only fitted on Elsan taps.
  17. Reminded me of those books that were popular a few years ago. Canals for Dummies.
  18. Realised as soon as I pressed the button and altered it.
  19. Current flow upstream at Offord on Great Ouse. It has been so high it was outside the range of the measuring device.
  20. I was only thinking yesterday how much the Ashton has changed, for the better over the 16 years since Joanie M was launched in Worsley. The extension if the tram system is, to some extent responsible for this but not solely. The Eithiad Stadium and the Sports Centre opposite, the large Asda, the Velodrome, the Man City training ground, the Police Training Centre, have all changed the canal for the better. In my opinion.
